Ripples in the Deep Forest Pond

I created this blog in 2006 during a class, never used it again.  We'll see what happens this time.

Currently I'm knitting on the NWRSA 2010 Fiber Exchange project.  It is 4 oz of dark cocoa brown alpaca (Sundi's coat) from Bev's Fiber Follies and 4 oz of blue and green wool from Marie Gettmann's sheep.   Acutally it was 2 shades of medium green, light green, medium blue and lavender.

I'm using the Tortuga shawl pattern from Ravelry minus the ruffle on the edge.  I used seed stitch instead of the garter border.  I call it Ripples in the Deep Forest Pond.  There is sunlight glinting on the water and murky bits too.  I like it. Hope Karen G does too,
